I think this film was perfectly made. It shows us, comically, how feeble we are when faced with an apocalyptic threat such as a comet or meteor, however unlikely it may be in our time, it’s still worth pondering the possibility, if only to see that some things we worry about aren’t that important.
It’s so much better than “the few brave souls who sacrifice themselves & save the planet against the evil comet, so everyone lives on happy & loving” it’s nice but doesn’t leave you with the mixed emotions of terrifying beauty in a comedic way that “Don’t Look Up” has. Great acting, great ending, clever, brutally honest, a great dark comedy. I’m buying this one!
