He first wanted to tell the story of color in the 1950s, but had to settle on a series about The Pattern of Animals, since television was limited to black & white technology. 65 years later, at the age of 94, he is finally able to complete this lifelong journey - using the latest high-quality HDR filming technology, as well as specialist cameras to also film in the ultraviolet range and to capture polarized light.
